Florian Boesch
Austrian bass-baritone Florian Boesch is famous as one of the best er singers of his generation. His s have taken him to The Concertgebouw’s Recital Hall (where he last performed in February 2024 with pianist Malcolm Martineau), Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna and Carnegie Hall in New York.
Boesch also performs frequently on the concert stage. He has worked with leading orchestras such as the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, the Wiener Philharmoniker and Berliner Philharmoniker.
Highlights in the current season include Handel’s Alexander’s Feast with Concentus Musicus Wien in Vienna and Lausanne, Schoenberg’s Gurre-er with the Wiener Symphoniker and Weill’s Die sieben Todsünden with conductor Sir Simon Rattle.
The baritone was most recently in the Main Hall in August 2022 in Haydn’s Creation (Die Schöpfung), conducted by Philippe Herreweghe.
